The doors to home depot will open at 6AM on Friday, November 27th. With the slow economy, it looks like Home Depot is rolling out some pretty good deals to help jump start the holiday season, or as I like to think of it, a way to prepare me for future projects. What this means guys, is that while your wife is lining up at the crack of dawn to get that deal over at some other store that will open 6 hours before sunrise. You can saunter out of bed at a fairly reasonable hour; make it over to your local Home Depot and still score. And guys, remember, it does not mater how much you spend, it maters how much you save. See, I have caught on to my wives way of doing it. "look honey, I saved us hundreds with the deals I got today…."
What we are trying to do for you is show you a preview to what we think are some of the best deals in the store for Black Friday.
For starters, one of the
best door busters we have seen so far is an amazing buy at only $19.88 for a 16
gallon Ridgid Wet/Dry Vac. Ridgid vacuums have been at the top of my list for this
type of cleaning machines. From my experiences, you can’t kill them; I have
used them for sucking up everything from drywall dust to removing muddy water
from a foundation trench. I would suggest showing up early if you want to get
one of these. Word has it that they are only available in pretty limited
quantities.
Never run out of AA batteries. Buy thirty on sale for only
$9.99 and get thirty more for FREE! Repeat after me: “Free is good.” Having
used a multitude of different brands of batteries, these blue and black Rayovac
batteries really hold their own for performance and value. Think about all the
flashlights and other noisy toys your kids will be getting this Christmas and
how handy it would be to have a stock pile of these around.
Tool storage is always an issue and having something that is
compact yet holds a multitude of things is a must. Husky has a nifty tool bag
that has 22 storage pockets and comes with a 12 compartment storage bin all for
only $9.88. Sorry they tools don’t come with it!
Bits, bits and more bits. Actually 72 of them for only
$14.97. This 72 piece DeWalt bit set comes with three handy clam shell storage
cases that keep everything in order. The set includes, drill bits, hex driver
bits and a host of different common size screwdriver bits. Everyone needs more bits and we would
definitely be sure to pick up one of these kits.
For the hobby person on your list, the Dremel 300 Series
with 25 included accessories for only $44.00 is definitely a must have. Dremel rotary tools are the way to go for any
kind of detail work that includes carving and sanding. This tool also includes
the new Detail Sanders, which we reviewed a short time ago. Check out the review here.
Talk about handy, easy to use and good for over 101 different
things is the Ridgid Fuego One Handed Reciprocating Saw. With great features
like a quick change blade holder, LED work light and a super comfortable grip,
this saw is one that everyone needs. The good news is that it is 30 dollars
cheaper now then when it came out a few months ago. At $69.00 it is a great buy.
Check out our review of it here.
If you have an up coming
tile job, then you need this saw. We first saw the Ryobi Tile Saw out at the
International Builders Show back in January 2009. You can see our quick look
review of here. Given the low sale price of only $99.00 including a
diamond blade, stand and accessories, this is one worth grabbing. We are
expecting limited quantities of this in the stores.
It’s a common story, you have some DeWalt 18V tools and your
batteries are toasted. Well, with this deal, you pretty much get two batteries
for less then the normal asking price PLUS they throw in a free drill and
charger. It’s a win for sure. The DeWalt 18V compact Drill/Drive Kit for only
$99.00 is the way to go for your self or even as a gift. For us, this ranks
among one of the best deals out there this Black Friday.
Whenever you can save $100 bucks on a tool, you are doing
pretty good. The DeWalt 10" Portable Table Saw normally retails for around
$399.00. That is not a bad deal in its self for a good job site table saw, but
it is even sweeter now that it is only $299.00 for Black Friday. This saw is
lightweight at only 45 pounds and comes with a carbide tipped 24 tooth rip
blade. Also included with this saw is the new, safer blade guard that we are
starting to see on more and more table saws.
Remember that Home Depot will open its doors at 6AM on Black Friday and from what we have seen in the past, the door busters go really fast so make sure it be there early if you are after any of them.
