Lowe's Black Friday Starts at 6AM

Lowe

Lowe's will open its doors at 6AM on Black Friday, November 27 with many items on sale though out the store. The sales flyer that we caught wind of also claims to have many more deal and additional offers on items though out the store that are not being advertised. Our experience is to really only buying the items that offer significant savings. What we see many times is that most items are marked down very slightly, like 10% and somehow it makes people go gang busters when they see the words "on sale" We suggest to really only go after the items that offer significant savings more like 25%-50% off and wait until the other items are discounted more with other future sales. For this coming Black Friday sale at Lowe’s we went though the sales flyer and tried to identify some of the better discounts and deals that they are offering.

Stanley Tape MeasureFor a meager $7.97 you can get one of the new Stanley Hi-Visibility 25 foot tape measures and get one for free. Free is good, especially with regard to tape measures which we go through on a regular basis. You can't have too many. Tape measures are one of those types of tools that it is always good to have a few extra of. I know the extra ones that I have are always getting "borrowed."  This tape measure features a 1" wide coated blade with easy to read measurements.

Black and Decker Laser LevelTake a stud finder and combine it with an automatic leveling laser and you would have one killer tool. Well that's actually what they did with the new Black & Decker Bullseye Auto Laser Level with stud finder and now you can get it for half price at $24.98. This tool is awesome for hanging pictures on the wall and for figuring out where to put that nail so that it will stay put for good. For $50 this tool is a tough sell for most home users, but at $25 it's a steal for anyone looking to shave some time off very common tasks.

Make sure to pick up a 16 gallon Shop Vac for the super low price of $29.00. This is a savings of over $50 bucks off of the regular price. Also included is the hose, extensions and a few different cleaning ends. This ranks among some of the best bang for the buck this Black Friday. And a reciprocating saw for only $39.97? That kind of price is unheard of. This Skil reciprocating saw features overmolded rubber grips, tool less blade change, adjustable angle foot and a long power cord. This saw is ideal for everything from pruning branches on trees in your yard to tearing out that wall in your house that you are going to remodel.

DeWalt Drill DealI think we saw this DeWalt deal somewhere else this year too. It just helps to double the odds of you being able to score one of these. The way we see it is that you get two batteries and they throw in a charger and a drill for free. What you get is a DeWalt 18 Volt Compact Drill/Driver that has a 1/2" keyless chuck, along with two Ni-Cad batteries and a charger. Sure we would like to see some Li-Ion batteries but at this price point we are just dreaming. Buy this to get the batteries for your other 18V DeWalt tools.

$129.00 bucks for a Porter Cable Cordless combo kit is a deal no mater how we look at it. We actually reviewed  this same set a few months ago. The tools preformed great and received pretty good marks. What you get in this set is a Porter-Cable 18Volt Ni-Cad powered Drill, Reciprocating Saw, Circular Saw and a Flash light. Also you get two batteries, a charger and heavy duty nylon carry bag.

Bosch Drill/Driver SetsNo matter how you cut it, Bosch power tools are a good investment. With pro-grade features and quality, these tools will go the extra mile. For $149.00 you can pick between a 1/2" 18V drill kit or a 12V impact driver and drill combo kit. Both sets feature Li-Ion batteries, quick chargers and tool storage cases. We actually did a review of the Bosch PS40 12V impact driver and it did quite well. These are definitely a good way to go.
