
Last summer we were able to check out some of Bosch’s initiatives into tool storage as they crafted custom solutions for their tools and accessories. Now, the company just announced a partnership with Ram Trucks at the annual World of Concrete show in Vegas. Bosch named Ram the “Official Truck of Bosch Power Tools and Accessories.” The deal is a special arrangement with the US-based truck manufacturer to allow Bosch and Ram to come together and address the needs of the building and construction professional. How? By engaging in joint marketing opportunities in the automotive and tool markets which will double down on the advertising effectiveness of each company. Now, every time you see a Ram truck advertised, you’re just as likely to see a Bosch tool being pulled out of it; and consequently, Bosch tool advertisements are likely to be paired alongside Dodge Ram trucks.
This isn’t too much of a surprise, as trucks and tools really do go well together. Co-branding both events and advertising is sure to keep both Bosch and Ram trucks on the minds of American tradesmen. Specifically, the partnership will include cross-promotional sweepstakes and even co-branded customer local, regional and national event programs. And who knows what else might come of this. Maybe we’ll see an option in Dodge Ram trucks to dock your 12V and 18V Bosch batteries for recharging—who knows!
