Home Depot is trying to raise awareness of their tool rental department through a promotion with ConstructionDeal.com. There will be one lucky winner with a remodel project who gets a $200 gift card. All you need to do is email your project details to Blog@ConstructionDeal.com. They request a before picture though it isn't a requirement to enter. Entries will be accepted through June 29th with the winner picked on the 30th and announced on July 1st.

There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of criteria involved in this contest other than you need to be remodeling something and "Tell us what tool from the Rental Center you might be using." Well, I might be using a backhoe but since I'm only installing some chain link fence, probably not. There is no real indication of what it is that they are looking for so it is a crap shoot as to whether your project will win. Hopefully it won't be like Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (is there another edition? I don't think so) with the prize going to the saddest story.
