Rockler Sawhorse Supports Preview

Rockler released a new system that adds stability to your standard, run-of-the-mill sawhorse. Their new patent-pending Sawhorse Supports are brackets made from steel which sit overtop a sawhorse to let you load up a couple 2×4 supports across the top brace pieces. You can use one or more Sawhorse Supports, and since they are length-independent, you can use nearly any length to make a solid and stable work table. You can also add a sheet of plywood across the top of the supports to really give you a tabletop for working. In this way, you can create a simple workspace with just a handful of 2×4 lumber.

Rockler Sawhorse Supports Features

With the Sawhorse Supports, placing a sheet of plywood material across your sawhorses can be done without the inevitable sagging that results. Rockler’s Sawhorse Supports alleviate the issue of sagging by providing supplemental support exactly where you need it, in the middle. Rockler’s claim for the product is that by converting your sawhorse into a more stable mechanism – you can actually do more, converting your sawhorse into a myriad of re-purposed tables:

  • Miter saw base
  • Spacious work/assembly area
  • Contemporary or “industrial” table
  • Customized work desk (and you can add a painted or stained top surface)
  • Simple picnic table
  • Large makeshift table/stand for a neighborhood yard sale
