The Bosch 1364 professional Abrasive Cutoff Machine offers 15 Amps and 5000 (no load) RPMs for a powerful tool that won't bog down under even intense jobs. The tool features a natural debris removal system that carries sparks, dust and debris away from the operator, and AC/DC capability which extends the versatility of the tool by working from DC outlets such as welders and generators. The 1364 is built with reinforced armature windings that protects the motor against abrasive dust and metal debris, and Service Minder brushes eliminate guesswork and stop the tool when preventative maintenance is required.

As for physical features, the tool weighs 24.5 pounds and includes a reversible handle for added convenience and versatility. It features large footplate which improves stability and allows greater depth of cut and is smooth on both sides for guiding. The tool comes set up in a fire forward position, but is easily changed to fire reverse position without additional accessories. It is double insulated, UL listed, and complies to OSHA regulations.

The Bosch 1364 Abrasive Cutoff Machine provides a depth of cut of 3-7/8" and is 24-1/2" in length. It has a 4.7 HP motor and comes with a standard spindle thread of 5/8" - supporting up to 12" blades. An oversized paddle switch makes activation and use simple and convenient - even for extended periods of time. At 24.5 pounds it's not super-lightweight, but this is a serious tool that you will be able to put to the test and not come up short.

Changing cutoff wheels looks to be easy with the included spindle lock and allen wrench, which are used to release pressure on the inner and outer flanges which securely hold the wheel in place. The guard is removable via the guard secure screw, but unless you are planning to enter the power tool drag races, we highly suggest leaving it on. You can, however, easily remove the footplate by simply loosening the two wingnuts that allow it to slide on and off the guard assembly.

This looks to be an excellent concrete tool for both new construction and renovation work. If you are looking for something bigger, the similar Bosch 1365 Abrasive Cutoff Saw is a 14" model with 4-7/8" cutting depth and 4300 RPMs (it also has a 1" arbor option).
