DeWalt recently announced the launch of a 12 Volt MAX Lithium Ion 3/8" Drill/Driver Kit (DCD710S2) as part of its new 12 Volt MAX cordless platform. The 12V MAX Drill/Driver provides power in a small, compact size, ideal for accessing tight spaces larger tools can’t go. It's also easy to just stick the drill in your tool pouch or clip it on your belt. The drill/driver is lightweight and compact yet powerful enough to handle a variety of jobs, making it ideal for remodelers, electricians, cabinet installers, woodworkers and other professionals who are tasked with fastening and drilling applications.

The DCD710S2 drill/driver features a two-speed transmission that delivers 0-400/0-1,500 RPM and a powerful LED light that provides visibility in dark areas. A 3/8-inch single-sleeve keyless chuck offers quick bit changes and reduces bit slippage, and an included belt clip provides easy transport and access during use.

The contoured handle offers contractors a comfortable grip and can be thinner than traditional 12V tools since it doesn't need to house the battery pack within. Additionally, with the placement of the battery at the bottom of the handle, the tool is well balanced and able to stand up vertically when set-down.

The new Drill/Driver Kit (DCD710S2), which includes a Drill/Driver, two 12V MAX Lithium Ion battery packs, one 40 minute charger, a belt clip and a contractor bag will be available in the fourth quarter at home centers and industrial distributors. The Drill/Driver Kit is expected to retail for approximately $159.

This tool will also be available as part of a combo kit (DCK211S2). The combo kit includes one 3/8" drill/driver, one 1/4" impact driver, two 12 Volt MAX Lithium Ion battery packs, one bit tip, two belt hooks, one 40 minute charger and a contractor bag.
