Bosch's new PS90-1A 12V Optical Scope was on our "confidential tool list" though we were able to get a sneak peek last year at the 2010 Bosch New Tools Event. Now, however, the tool is available, mysteriously it seems, via Amazon and CPO (giving us permission by default), so we thought we'd take a quick look at it and give a preview of what users can look forward to with this tool. 

The Bosch PS90-1A features advanced optics designed to produce clear images, and the large 2.7-inch screen provides easy viewing for the camera. The 48-inch camera cable, which can be extended with additional segments, utilizes a simple 9-pin connector which makes it easy to connect or remove the various attachments. At the end of the camera cable lies the bright multi-stage LED light for increased visibility in dark areas and the unit has a unique video-output jack for easy connection and viewing.

This looks to be a very cool new tool from Bosch, and one that fits nicely into its new Detection category. We'll request one for review at the nearest opportunity and think that overall, our expectation would be that this tool will be a positive addition, and a big seller for the manufacturer.
