The
new DeWalt DCS331 20 Volt MAX Lithium Ion Jigsaw is designed to offer
improved runtime, ergonomics and comfort with features such as
keyless blade change for enhanced productivity on the jobsite. The
3.0 Amp hour battery offers extended runtime, while the keyless shoe
bevel and anti-slip comfort grip enhance ergonomics and comfort. For
enhanced productivity and performance, the new jigsaw features an
easy to use lever-action keyless blade change. The jigsaw is ideal
for contractors who are tasked with cutting and installing a variety
of materials including remodelers, flooring installers, finish
carpenters, kitchen fitters and furniture makers.

Productivity
is increased by things like the all-metal lever-action keyless blade
change that allows users to make quick and easy blade changes. For
further versatility, the DCS331L1 is equipped with variable speed
control ranging from 0-3,000 strokes per minute (SPM). This speed
range gives the user more control over the cut, and allows the jigsaw
to handle a variety of materials and applications. To achieve better
runtime, this jigsaw comes equipped with a 3.0 Ah battery that has
LED fuel gauge indicator lights.

The
DCS331L1 is designed to accept T-shank style jigsaw blades. For easy
bevel cutting, it features an all-metal keyless shoe bevel with
detents at zero degrees, 15 degrees, 30 degrees and 45 degrees. The
four-position orbital action provides control of cut quality and cut
speed. In order to ensure a precise cut, there is an adjustable
blower to keep the line of cut clear of chips and debris. Also, black
rubber overmold grip areas provides comfort and control.

The
DCS331L1 Kit will feature one DCS331 jigsaw, one 20 Volt MAX Lithium
Ion 3.0 Ah Fuel Gauge battery pack, one fast charger, one jigsaw
blade and a kit box. This kit is expected to retail for around
$279. The 20V MAX Jig Saw will also be available in a bare model
DCS331B, which is sold without a battery or charger for $149. The
tool will come with a three-year limited warranty, one-year free
service contract, and 90-day money-back guarantee. Both the DCS331L1
and DCS331B will be available in April 2012 through independent
distributors.
