Irwin Vise-Grip Cutting Pliers Deliver More Cutting Force with Less Effort

Irwin is expanding its hand tool lineup with their newest Vise-Grip Cutting Pliers. These additions are designed to be more comfortable, durable, and have greater power than previous designs. All of the new Vise-Grip Cutting Pliers feature Irwin’s 3-Zone Comfort Grips. They also are manufactured with induction hardened cutting edges that will make it through ACSR, nails, screws, and piano wire.

Highlighting the group are the Max Leverage Diagonal Cutting Pliers and End Cutting Pliers. This pair features PowerSlot Technology, which Irwin claims will deliver twice the cutting power with half the effort. This technology will be in the 7″ and 8″ Max Leverage Diagonal Cutting Pliers and in the 8″ End Cutting Pliers.

ErgoMulti Long Nose Pliers  feature a 62 degree offset head. The offset puts the tool in a more natural position for the user, improving ergonomics and reducing repetitive stress injuries. In addition to the 3-Zone Comfort Grip, the pliers will include a built in wire stripper.

Linesman’s Pliers will be available in three models. One is designed for pulling fish tape while another features the ability to crimp non-insulated connectors and pull fish tape. Cross hatch knurls and integrated spanner help the tools grip and twist. Wrapping up the new product line will be Bent Nose Pliers and Long Nose Pliers.

According to Marta Aebischer, Director of Brand Marketing, “After inventing the first-ever locking pliers more than 90 years ago, IRWIN Tools continues to push the evolution of pliers technology, enabling tradesmen to do more with greater ease. Innovations like PowerSlot Technology and 3-Zone Comfort Grips deliver dramatic performance advantages so that users can get the job done faster and easier.”

The new Vise-Grip Cutting Pliers will be available beginning on September 14th and will range between $27 and $55 MSRP. For more information on any of Irwin Tools’ products, visit their home on the web by clicking here.
