Eagle Tools US Cable Installation Tools

Eagle Tool US

Eagle Tools US is an American tool company that has been around as an organization since it was formed in 1976 under the name The Repair and Machine Shop. In the early 1990’s, they got into manufacturing cable bits and looking for ways to innovate in that end of the industry. In 2009, they launched the Eagle Tools US brand with their line of Switch Bits and Sheet Metal Installation Tools. Today, these tools can be found at retailers such as The Home Depot, Grainger, and Amazon.

Eagle Tools US Switch Bit Installer Tools

Eagle Tools’ Switch Bit Installer Tools are an innovative way to save some money in the long run. By utilizing interchangeable heads, you simply need to purchase one shank and the bit heads that you need. Since each bit head doesn’t have to be made with a long shank, less material is required and money is saved.

Switch Bit Flexible Spring Steel Shanks

Eagle Tools US manufactures their shanks from flexible spring steel. All of the shanks come with fish accommodation holes, three flat, non-slip chuck grips, and a ground non-slip notch for the interchangeable head. They are available in diameters of 3/16″ and 1/4″ in lengths of 15″, 21″, 33″, 51″, and 69″. Two piece shank kits are available in both diameters and include either a 15″/21″ pair or 51″/69″ pair.

Switch Bit Line Heads

Eagle Tools US offers individual line heads designed for either wood, steel, or masonry.

Switch Bit Head and Shank Combo Kits

Currently, the combo kits are only available with wood bits and 33″ shanks.

Dirt Auger System

Eagle Tools US offers a Dirt Auger System. This is sold as the bit head only, and can be used with any length of 1/4″ shank. This Dirt Auger has a 3/4″ diameter.

Eagle Tools US Sheet Metal Installation Tool

Eagle Tools US offers a Sheet Metal Installation Tool that allows users to install 1/4” or 5/16″ sheet metal screw without switching out accessories. The tool retracts to expose a drill bit for creating pilot holes. It then can be extended to cover the bit and allow the hex screw to be held for driving. Since the accessory is never actually removed from the drill, items are less likely to be dropped or lost.  An available Accessory Kit includes an Allen wrench, 3 drill bits, 3 set screw, and case to cover any necessary drill bit changes.
