Ace Hardware 2011 Black Friday Deals
For us to take notice of Black Friday tool deals, we figured that the tool or accessory has to be at least half-off of the regular price to get us out of bed early. We are happy to report that it looks like Ace Hardware, which is now selling the Craftsman brand, has plenty of such deals. Also this year, we appreciate that there were only minimal coupons and rebates required, unlike Ace Black Friday sales in the past. This year you can show up early and come out with some instant savings gratification hassle free – um, except for the lines, and the annoyingly greedy people, and the shoving… well, you get the idea. Here is our 2011 run-down for the tools worth waking up early for from Ace Hardware on Black Friday
Ace Hardware 2011 Black Friday Deals
Grab a Stanley Sawhorse 2 pack for $9.99. These come with a 500 LB capacity and an integrated v-groove on the top that is good for holding pipe or wood. What’s even better is that they fold flat for easy transport and storage. They WILL break eventually and are not nearly as durable as a 2×4 sawhorse, but they are also great in a pinch and take up less space.
Pick up a 200-piece
Rotary Tool Accessory Set for just $9.99. This set will work with the Dremel 3000 Rotary tool, Milwaukee’s M12 Rotary Tool, or any major manufacturer’s product. With this set you can polish, cut, etch, sharpen or sand a variety of materials including wood, metal, plastic, tile and more. It even comes in a handy organizer that keeps everything in its place when not in use.
Tool bags are a great way to stay organized and transport things. For less than $10 bucks you can pick up this 18″ Craftsman wide mouth tool bag. It’s made of tough reinforced canvas and includes inside and outside storage pockets and a detachable carry strap. If you recently picked up a power tool that didn’t come with a case, or came with one of those useless square zippered bags, this will fix you up good.
DeWalt has a 50-piece drilling and screw driving bit set for only $14.99. This set includes 13 black oxide drill bits along with nut drivers, compact drive guide and a host of screw-driving bits. We’ve used both of these kits before and the bits are tough and will last a good long time if not abused.
Skil’s 18V Cordless Drill/Driver is on sale for $29.99. This drill may be NiCd, but it has a 3/8″ keyless chuck, variable speed trigger, 16 torque settings and it includes one Ni-cad battery, a double-ended bit, charger and a carry case. For under $30 how can you not get excited about giving the gift of a power tool?
If you must have a oscillating multi-tool this Christmas and you are a fan of Craftsman power tools then you are in luck since this model is on sale for only $59.99. This is a corded version that includes attachments for cutting, sanding, scraping, filing and grout removal. A zippered storage case is included to keep everything tidy when not in use, but you may want to pick up the one above since it won’t store the tool with a blade on it.
Everyone needs a small mechanics set of tools and this 190-piece set from Craftsman is a great start, especially since you can get it for less than $100 bucks. This set includes (36) 1/4″ drive sockets, (58) 3/8″ drive sockets, (12) 1/2″ drive sockets, 16 combination wrenches, 7 drive tools, 61 specialty tools and a case. The other big reason to pickup Craftsman hand tools is because they have one of the best warranties in the business. Just stop by any Craftsman retailer with your broken tool and they replace it with no questions asked.
