It’s Halloween week and we have more treats than tricks! Here are the hottest new products to hit Pro Tool Reviews this week!
Milwaukee Axis Layering System with Gridiron Shell
Milwaukee has extended the M12 Axis Heated Jacket line with the new Gridiron Work Shell. When the weather gets particularly frigid, the Gridiron adds another layer of warmth under the Axis jacket.
The Gridiron Work Shell is constructed from Gridiron ripstop polyester that takes up 25% less space than cotton duck while also being 3x more durable. And, in terms of warmth, Milwaukee uses 60G insulation for the body and 40G insulation for the sleeve.
The Gridiron Work Shells are completely compatible with the M12 Axis heated jacket. When layered, you’ll still have pass-through access to the heat controls. Plus, the center zipper and snaps interlock the jacket to the work shell.

Cat D3 Series Skid Steer and Compact Track Loaders
Caterpillar recently announced their new line of skid steer and compact track loaders. The CAT D3 Series builds on the good work that the company has done with the D and D2 Series loaders.
Improvements with the D3 Series start with a wider door on the one-piece sealed and pressurized cab. Then, CAT improved operating stability with a sturdier undercarriage frame and torsion axels. Two-speed travel improves jobsite productivity, and the D3 Series includes CAT’s Smart Technology, which makes working with smart attachments streamlined and simple.
On a performance level, the CAT D3 Series has upped its game with a 110 gross horsepower CAT C3.8 engine. A 40 GPM high-flow/high-pressure auxiliary system produces 94 HP of hydraulic power.
Empire Digital Level
Empire has released a 9″ Magnetic Digital Torpedo Level that provides clear and precise readouts. With the new level, you can measure, replicate, and inspect any angle from 0° to 90°.
The new 9″ level has an auto-calibration feature that fires up as the level turns on. This means that you can get a clear and precise reading immediately. Rare earth magnets keep the level securely in place on any metal surface.
It features 6 measurement display modes that let you complete the tasks of the standard torpedo, slope level, and angle finder. You can also make precise measurements in degrees, percentages, fractional, or decimals. There’s even an Inspection Mode that’s ideal for bending conduit and other replication applications.

Cub Cadet Self-Leveling Seat
The popular Cub Cadet Pro Z 972 ZTR has an option for making hillsides and grades a more surmountable problem. Now, you can equip the Pro Z with a self-leveling air-ride seat that will automatically level itself up to 15° to either side.
The self-leveling seat maintains operator comfort on steeper inclines and minimizes the physical impact of mowing on a slope. You can lock down the seat if you want, or you can keep it unlocked for full travel and swivel capabilities.
Right now, it looks like the Pro Z 972 is the only model that has the self-leveling seat… which makes some bit of sense as this dual-rear-tired mower was built for hills. Still, we hope that this seat becomes an option on a wider array of Cub Cadets because it’s a pretty sweet upgrade.
