Hilti has introduced its newest electro-pneumatic tool, the TE 3000-AVR Breaker. The Hilti TE 3000-AVR Breaker is designed to deliver the power of an air tool without the need for a compressor – and without adding weight. Weighing 65 pounds, the TE 3000-AVR delivers 50 foot-pounds of impact energy to break up to six tons of material per hour – that’s a rate that’s comparable to a 60- to 65-pound air tool. The TE 3000-AVR is designed to provide contractors with easy, flexible operation from anywhere on the jobsite.
Intro and First Impressions
Because it doesn’t require an air compressor, the new Hilti Breaker allows contractors to have their tool set up and working before the compressor is even towed to the location and hooked up. For maximum versatility, the TE 3000-AVR accepts standard 1-1/8-inch chisels, the same as those used with air-powered tools.
Hilti has developed a range of sub-chassis active vibration reduction (AVR) solutions to benefit power tool operators, tailored to the specific needs of various applications. The TE 3000-AVR incorporates Hilti’s AVR system to reduce the vibration transmitted to the operator during operation, thereby reducing fatigue and allowing them to work longer.

An active cooling system reduces wear and tear on the motor, electronics, and hammering mechanism. In addition, the TE 3000-AVR features a brushless SR motor that eliminates the need to replace carbon brushes, according to Hilti.
Hilti also touts that the TE 3000-AVR provides long-term service under the most rugged conditions. The company backs that promise up with a Lifetime Service agreement, a service plan that includes two years of no-cost coverage on the TE 3000-AVR.
