Kobalt Power Cleaner Feature

Kobalt’s 40V Cordless Power Cleaner Makes Light-Duty Cleaning Projects A Cinch

Tired of dragging your pressure washer out for a job that really just needs a bit more muscle than your hose can pull off? With higher pressure than most, there are plenty of uses for the Kobalt 40V cordless power cleaner around your home and on the go.

Kobalt 40V Cordless Power Cleaner Performance

Cleaning Power

Kobalt’s power cleaner boasts an impressive 600 PSI—50 PSI more than the DeWalt 20V Max power cleaner! In fact, we’ve only seen one power cleaner hit a higher pressure rating.

The max flow rate is a little lower than some, topping out at 0.8 GPM. The bottom line is that this model is going to knock more gunk loose than most of its competition, but some will be better at washing it away and rinsing.

Kobalt 40V Cordless Power Cleaner

No matter what model you choose, power cleaners are nowhere close to the power of a pressure washer. Those typically start around 1500 PSI and run 4000+ on the top end. If you’re hoping for a lightweight, portable pressure washer replacement, none of the tools in this class are that capable.

Nozzle

The Kobalt features a versatile 5-in-1 nozzle for cleaning a wide variety of surfaces and materials. That’s more than most. You get settings for 0°, 15°, 25°, 40°, and rinse. There’s also a soap bottle attachment. The only downside is the lack of a turbo nozzle to catch more area with that 0° max pressure.

At Home or On the Go

This cleaner can utilize either a regular garden hose or the 20-foot siphon hose to supply water to the sprayer. Everything you need to use either comes in the box.

Using a garden hose is great since you have a virtually unlimited supply. However, it’s the siphon hose that really makes tools like the Kobalt 40V cordless power cleaner so versatile. Whether you’re using a bucket, your pool,of the lake, any fresh water source is fair game, opening up a ton of possibilities.

Kobalt 40V Cordless Power Cleaner Design Notes

Power Source

Kobalt’s power cleaner uses any Kobalt 40V battery and it’s a great supplement to their 40V line of lawn care equipment. We have a little twinge of regret that there’s not an option on the 24V platform, but we have it on our wish list.

Easy Storage

Another advantage of this power cleaner is it’s an incredible space saver. When the job is done, simply remove the wand and stow it away until next time. You can easily fit everything in a bucket.

Water-Resistant Battery Compartment

The Kobalt power cleaner has a water-resistant battery compartment that clamps shut for added protection. This is very similar to what we’ve seen from other models, but the added clamp gives us a little peace of mind concerning the separation of water and electricity.
