New Bosch Dust Extraction Attachments

A number of new Bosch dust extraction attachments were introduced that are designed to work with their 9 and 14 gallon job site dust extractors and vacuums as well as a new right angle attachment. Bosch has an extensive array of dust extraction systems, so this are great additions. Clint DeBoer had the chance to see some of these in action at World of Concrete back in January. Let’s just say that the demonstrations that Bosch set up to show the importance of dust collection was eye opening. It was in one sense impressive and in another disturbing to see the kind of volume of dust that is kicked up during concrete drilling applications. It certainly brings to light the importance of keeping that kind of particulate out of your eyes and lungs.

All of these Bosch dust extraction attachments are due to hit store shelves this month, so be on the lookout at your favorite Bosch retailer for availability. As OHSA cracks down on dust collection and control, these products and accessories are going to be even more and more important if you want to be keeping OSHA away from your jobsite.

The HDC100 Bosch dust extraction attachments features a rail system that keeps the attachment at the drilling surface to maximize dust collection. It includes a thin wall core bit cap in addition to the attachment.

HDC100

HDC100 SDS Plus Attachment

  • Max Bit Diameter: SDS-Plus 1/8″ – 5/8″, Core bit 3-1/8″
  • Max Bit Length: 6″ – 8″
  • Max Drilling Depth: 4-3/4″
  • Vac Connection: 1-3/8″ connection, with adapters available for 1-1/4″ and 2″
  • Compatibility: Most SDS-Plus hammers w/ 50 mm hammer tube collar (excludes 11250VSR/RH432VCQ)
  • MSRP:$69

The HSC200/250 systems are designed around the larger SDS-Max and spline hammer applications. Reminiscent of the Whisker Biscuit arrow rest for you archers out there, this system allows the bit to pass through the collection point while the suction from the vacuum keeps the attachment against the wall. The design of these attachments allow for a much broader range of tool compatibility than the HDC100.

  • Max Bit Diameter: 2-1/2″
  • Max Bit Length: Not Applicable
  • Max Drilling Depth: Not Applicable
  • Vac Connection: 1-3/8″ connection, with adapters available for 1-1/4″ and 2″
  • Compatibility: Most newer SDS-Plus Corded and Cordless Hammers

  • Compatibility: Most newer SDS-Plus Corded and Cordless Hammers
  • MSRP: $69

The HDC300 is designed to handle chiseling applications which would be a challenge for systems that are designed to completely encompass the drilling point like the HDC200. While this is still a pass through bit system, it features the ability to change out your chiseling bit without have to remove the attachment.

  • Vac Connection: 1-3/8″ connection, with adapters available for 1-1/4″ and 2″
  • Compatibility: Most SDS-Max, Spline Rotary, and Demolition Hammers
  • MSRP: $109

While not part of the dust extraction family of attachments, the RHA-50 is a right angle attachment that allows for drilling applications in hard to reach areas. By allowing for 360 degrees of rotation, the tool can be kept in a comfortable working position while changing the angle of the bit to maximize efficiency.
