We spied out CES 2013 for our electronics fix, but lo and behold, we spied Bosch presenting and showing off, among other things, some of their newest corded and cordless power tools (including the new CM12 Table Saw, 12″ Glide Miter Saw, and 18V RHH181 Cordless Rotary Hammer). And one of our freelance writers, Michael Springer (the “Tool Guru” himself and an all-around great guy) was interviewing Jason Feldner and Joe “the Pro” Sainz about some of these latest products.
Check out Bosch’s video of the interview here featuring our own Michael Springer:
Of particular note is the public showing of the new Bosch 4.0Ah batteries which should do wonders for the 18V tools’ run-time and power capabilities. In our own recent test of 18V Cordless Impact Drivers we found that the amp-hour (Ah) rating of the battery does wonders for the number of screws you can drill. In fact it was the most clearly definable metric for that particular test. The new battery packs form Bosch are identical in size (from what we can tell) to their existing packs, and so the result is going to be a tool that runs longer, and powers through material faster without adding weight.
