The cases come in small, medium, and large sizes with clear lids that let you easily see what’s inside. What we’re excited about is the intentional design that lets you remove bits easier with most bit sets out there.

Small sets retail in the $5.99 – $16.99 range, depending on what bits are in the set. Medium and large sets are coming this fall, retailing for $19.99 – $39.99.

Crescent Lufkin Control Series Tape Measures

Crescent Lufkin Control Series Tape MeasuresCrescent Lufkin is expanding their tape measure line with new models under the “Control Series” name. The big change is to a finger brake below the feed, similar to what we see in some Milwaukee tape measure models.

Other features include a 1-3/16″ blade that’s capable of 12′ of standout and extra-large print to make it easier to see for people like me. Like the extra-tough Crescent Lufkin Shockwave line, there’s a substantial amount of rubber overmold to protect the tape. There’s also a 360º hook to grab from any angle.

Control Series tape measure are available in 16’–35′ lengths and there’s a 25′ green on black print (Nite Eye) available as well.

Price: $15–$25

Klein Tools Forged Crimper with Stripper/Cutter (2005N)

Klein Tools Forged Crimper with Stripper/Cutter (2005N)Klein a trend of reversing the trend with their latest electrical multi-tool. Starting at the jaw tips, you find a hardened wire cutter that leads to a crimper above the rivet. Just underneath it is a shear cutter for copper wire followed by 10–18 AWG stranded wire strippers (10–22 AWG solid).

By flipping the stripping and crimping tools from their traditional positions around the rivet, it optimizes the force from your hands to the tools that need it most.

Fans of Klein’s heritage will be glad to know that this stripper/cutter/crimper is a Made in the USA product, forged and heat-treated to endure.

Expect the Klein 2005N to retail around $51, though we’ve seen lower prices online.

Worx 3-in-1 TriVac Blower/Mulcher Vac

Worx 3-in-1 TriVac Blower/Mulcher Vac Worx is launching a new version of their 3-in-1 TriVac Blower/Mulcher Vac just in time for the fall leaves to start piling up. This homeowner-level yard tool makes converting from blower to mulching vac easier. To switch, just flip the dial and connect the collection bag. There’s no need to change out the tube.

Worx focuses on pulling huge amounts of air with a 600 CFM rating on its metal mulching impeller and 12-amp motor combination. That’s great for broadleaf blowing and collection, but don’t expect its 75 MPH airspeed to move dense or wet debris well.

Worx says to expect a 16x reduction in leaf and twig volume. What might take 32 yard bags to fill should only take 2 once the TriVac does its job of mulching.

You can find the updated TriVac on Amazon for $99.99.
