Greenworks 60V Pro 25" Self-Propelled Lawn Mower Outdoor Power Equipment Reviews

Greenworks 60V Pro 25″ Self-Propelled Lawn Mower

Greenworks 60V Pro 25″ Self-Propelled Lawn Mower Uses Commercial Foundation

If you saw Greenworks Commercial’s 25″ lawn mower and wished there was more in the homeowner price range, you’re in luck. The Greenworks 60V Pro 25″ Self-Propelled Lawn Mower is now available at Lowe’s and uses the commercial model’s design as its foundation.

10-Second Summary

  • Counter-rotating twin blade design improves runtime by 40% and mulching by 30%
  • Auto-switching dual battery port

Greenworks 60V Pro 25″ Self-Propelled Lawn Mower Highlights

25″ Steel Deck

The eye-catching feature of this Greenworks lawn mower is its 25″ deck. It looks like they’ve brought it straight down from the commercial model, with a dual-blade system that uses a pair of 12.25″ blades that overlap to give you a 23.75″ cutting swath.

The rest of the design seems to match what we see on Greenwork’s next-gen 60V Pro 21″ model.

60V Power Source

Of the biggest differences between this model and the commercial is the shift from an 82V platform to 60V. We expect it to have a bit less power, without being underpowered.

Spinning a pair of 12.5″ blades instead of a single larger one means there’s less mass, so we’re not really worried about its power level compared to other residential mowers.

Auto-Switching Dual Battery Port

There are two battery ports. Unlike many battery lawn mowers out there, these are both active ports instead of having one active and one for storage. The mower runs on just one battery and automatically switches over when the first runs out of juice.

Greenworks 60V 25" Self-Propelled MowerEasy-Folding Vertical Storage

The Greenworks 60V Pro 25″ Self-Propelled Lawn Mower makes storage super-simple. The handle folds up vertically and lets you stand it up, so it’s taking up a lot less floor space in your garage or shop.

For this model, Greenworks has a pair of spring-loaded releases built into the handle in easy reach while you’re standing. Most mowers that have folding handles require you to bend over and hit the releases at the pivot point. The new design keeps you from having to bend over and reach down as much. Your back will thank you!

Single Point Height Adjustment

Greenworks keeps the convenience of a single-point height adjustment on it. It’s easier than having to adjust each wheel individually. There are 7 positions you can set to let you cut your lawn at a healthy height no matter what species you have.

Pricing

The Greenworks 60V Pro 25″ Self-Propelled Lawn Mower is a Lowe’s exclusive. It’s due to be available in March 2020 with a $699 price tag. That gets you the mower, a 4.0Ah battery, and 2.0Ah battery and charger.

I was confused about the price because Kenny states in the Instagram video the price is $499 with a battery and charger. When I switched back to the article I see the price is $699, then I realize the article is about the 25″ mower, while Kenny is demoing the 20″ mower.
I would like to see the blade setup as well as all the features Kenny covers on the mower in the Instagram video for the 25″ mower in this article.
