New Werner Fall Protection Options
Anchorage Connectors
Werner believes that fall protection is only as strong as its connection to the physical structure itself. With that in mind, the brand has added two new anchorage connector options for working on both wood and metal structures. Both options have a minimum breaking strength of 5,000 lbs. and can be reused.
Werner has designed the Bull Ring Anchorage Connector for use on wood structures with a minimum thickness of three inches. This connector features zinc-plated steel, and it can be installed using three 1/4 in. x 3 in. zinc-plated steel hex head lag screws or six 16D 3-inch 8-gauge spiral nails.
The D-Ring Anchorage Connectors work with metal structures with a minimum thickness of 1/4 in. Werner has made this connector from alloy and stainless steel, and it can be installed using a Grade 5 or stronger 3/8 in. 11 steel hex head bolt and nut.
Falling Tool Protection
Falling tools present a danger to other workers, the property being worked on, and the tools themselves. With this in mind, Werner designed some new fall protection for tools. They should help keep your most commonly-used tools tethered to you and safe from drops.
The Werner Tape Measure Jacket wraps around most commonly used tape measures, keeping them secure. Werner has built this jacket to last, forgoing a hook and loop closure that can become dirty and degrade.
Werner’s Drill Jacket attaches to most commonly-used power drills, and it works with the brand’s 5-lb tool tether.
The Smartphone Jacket keeps your expensive phone safe from falls while still let you use it. It includes a 1-lb retractable tether. The Jacket fits smartphones up to 3.8 in. x 7.1 in., and features a clear, touchscreen-compatible perforated front cover so you can still hear it. A clear rear cover allows you to use the phone’s camera.
