Ryobi P317 18V 3/8″ Crown Stapler

One of the things Ryobi wanted to achieve with this compression drive crown stapler was for the tool to be able to get through the whole job on one charge. So, they designed it to fire up to 5,500 staples on a charge. But that’s not where the fun ends. The P317 also has a pretty slick depth adjustment knob on the back of the stapler and an onboard dual screen/wire attachment that helps you guide your staples without ruining your screen.

It can fire off anywhere between 1/4″ to 9/16″ staples, as well as Arrow T50 staples. A dry-fire lockout keeps a dry chamber from damaging the gun. But even if something does go wrong, the P317 is backed by Ryobi’s 3-year warranty. It’s available now for $79, exclusively from Home Depot.

I just love Ryobi tools. I’ve been a fan ever since my wife bought me my first drill and driver in my collection when I needed to fix the very first honey do list thing after we moved in together. I’m SOO glad that the home depot salesman convinced her to buy it for me! #Ryobi

Your Ryobi worklight specs are wrong. You list 1600 lumens (I wish!) when it’s a measly 160 lumens. Ryobi still misses the mark with their inflators. They need something at least triple the CFM @ PSI, and no I do not mean let’s get their air compressor instead. I mean for tire inflation, there is no reason we should have to wait several minutes to merely get a tire inflated when $10 worth of motor and $5 worth of piston would be quite welcome, AND make it overheat less so it is a longer lasting tool. Pretty ridiculous when tools… Read more »

I love Ryobi tools and particularly the 18V platform. They are typically not the most robust (more in terms of shell materials and ability to drop without damage), and they are not the most powerful, but they have SO many useful, unique, and affordable tools that they would be my number one recommendation for a homeowner. And they are typically powerful enough — if I were using them repetitively all day I might want something faster to maximize productivity, but for my uses, how fast an impact spins really doesn’t matter, as long as the fastener gets in eventually. The… Read more »
