Rockler Nexabond Wood Adhesive Preview

Rockler Woodworking has announced its distribution Nexabond Wood Adhesive by Bioformix, a glue that gives do-it-yourself woodworkers the benefits of cyanoacrylate glue, but offers a longer open time to make adjustments to joints. Rockler tells us that the volume of glue is reduced by only having to apply the glue to one of the joint pieces, that the user will have between 1 and 5 minutes to get the placement of pieces correct, and that is takes only an hour to fully cure.

According to Steve Krohmer, Rockler’s VP of Product Marketing, “Nexabond helps woodworkers and do-it-yourselfers get projects done quickly. It offers enough open time to get the pieces just right, but dries quickly to free up clamps and allow sanding and finishing once it’s cured. It also accepts most finishes, which makes the final result look that much better.”

Rockler Nexabond Wood Adhesive Features

Nexabond contains no solvents so there is no risk of wood swell when using it. It can also be sanded immediately after curing without problematic sunken joint lines from shrinkage. The thicker consistency helps prevent runs and drips.

Rockler’s newest wood adhesive offerings are available in  1 – 3 minute (short) or 3 – 5 minute (medium) bonding times. MSRP is $7.99 for the one ounce bottles and $16.99 for the four ounce bottles.  For more information or to purchase, visit their website by clicking here.
