DeWalt 20V Max Jobsite LED Spotlight Lighting Up the Jobsite from a Distance
DeWalt fans are excited about the announcement of the new DeWalt 20V Max Jobsite LED Spotlight. This addition to the 20V Max family of cordless lithium-ion tools will feature a 1,000 lumen output with a throw up to 1,525 feet. The light source is 4 LED’s. On the 1,000 lumen setting, 3 white LED’s illuminate the work area. There is also a 90 lumen setting that allows a single red LED to take over. For the uninitiated, the benefit of red light is that it preserves your night vision, allowing your eyes to follow without having to dilate open or closed as they move from lighted areas to poorly lit ones.
For the feature set, look for a 90 degree pivoting head to direct light where you need. You’ll be able to set it on a flat surface or hang it using the integrated rafter hook. There will be a belt hook as well, though I’d be hesitant to believe that it could be efficient hanging on your belt. I’m imagining working in a tight corner and trying to twist my hips to get the light where I need it. Elvis, maybe. Kenny, probably not. Still, it should be effective at keeping clipped to you until you get it where you’d like to set it up. Also expect a standard rubber overmold on the handle to ensure a more comfortable grip.
