With 56 volts at its disposal it is powerful enough to cut through weeds and brush with ease. It has a light yet strong carbon fiber shaft that keeps its shape over multiple uses. The carbon fiber shaft also keeps down on vibrations, making the trimmer a pleasure to use. The 2KW motor handles most jobs without being overburdened, while power comes from Ego’s commercial backpack battery, which is sold separately. There is no need to mess with petrol as the brushless motor is operated by the battery pack. The variable speed trigger and the solid steel drive shaft add further refinements to the trimmer. With a 15” cutting swath, you can cover a lot of ground in a short time. Nor will you have to load the trimmer often as it accepts up to .120” of line in the bump-feed trimmer head.
