SKIL Adds Professional Features to its latest SKILSAW

The new SKIL HD5687 SKILSAW circular saw delivers with a great combination of performance, light weight design and a value price point that makes this saw have amazing bang for the buck. With new features like a 51 degree bevel capacity and a handle that is derived from their popular Worm Drive saw, seasoned carpenters will find this new saw to be a welcomed addition to their job site.

To add functionality and performance, the engineers at SKIL fit in a 15 Amp, ball bearing motor without adding any additional weight to the saw and incorporated the SKIL Worm Drive SKILSAW handle design that many professionals prefer into this new saw. The new handle design is supposed to be more comfortable then the previous design. The SKIL HD5687 SKILSAW has a 51 degree bevel capacity which will allow for a wider range of cutting angles and also includes a professional quality power switch, a patented anti-snag lower guard, rear view depth adjustment, a stamped steel foot plate, an integrated spindle lock and a 8 foot long power cord. To top it off a quality 24 tooth carbide tipped blade comes included!

The SKIL HD5687 SKILSAW definitely has the cutting capacity to help carpenters and contractors take on the toughest projects at a more affordable price. With a very reasonable MSRP of only $89, there is no excuse not to have a good saw like this in your collection. This saw is now available at many retailers and professional supply stores.

Hitachi C7SB2 Circular Saw Review

The Hitachi C7SB2 7-1/4 inch 15 amp circular saw is a workhorse product which can be found for a very reasonable price if you look hard enough. Its clean lines, comfortable feel, and powerful motor make it a decent saw for cutting, but clumsy depth and bevel adjustments give it at least some areas of improvement. This tool will do well in any handyman’s kit and some professionals may even find its lightweight styling is worth a second look.

Black and Decker JS515 Jig Saw Review

The Black & Decker JS515 4.5 amp Jigsaw can be found for a reasonable “street” price and offers reliable, if simplistic performance. The saw is your basic model and certainly doesn’t feature many frills besides tool-less changing of both universal and t-shank blades and a handy magnetic storage area for up to 3 blades. If you can find it on sale you may have a deal, but paying retail isn’t something we’d recommend for this model.
