We haven’t yet found a way to do battery head-to-head testing across brands. Still, the industry brings so many new batteries and chargers to market in succession that we feel the need to stay on top of everything new that comes off the line. You have Flex stacked lithium batteries and DeWalt PowerStack technology offering various features. We see the 18650 vs 21700 cell divide. Even the makeup of the battery packs matters—as does the technology placed within the battery chargers. Hilti Nuron presented a great example of a complete battery and charger redesign that prioritized communication. As we progress, both batteries and chargers continue to offer more advanced technology.
