Milwaukee continues to expand its lineup of jobsite power solutions with their Gangbox Rapid Charger—a versatile charging station built for Pros who run both M12 and M18 tools. Designed to keep batteries organized, charged, and ready to go, this charger also adds a few thoughtful extras that make it more than just a power hub. I’m going to highlight the key features and details of this rapid charger so you can decide if it’s the right option for your crew.

Charging Ports
We’ve seen multi-port chargers in the past, but Milwaukee is stepping up its game. The Gangbox Rapid Charger features four M18 ports, two M12 ports, and two USB-C ports for charging small devices.
While there are a total of six battery charging ports, it’s important to note that they don’t all charge simultaneously, as this would draw quite a bit of power. The charger is divided into two sides, A and B (left and right, respectively), and will only charge one battery at a time on each side. Once one battery is topped off, the charger will automatically begin charging the next one in line.
The charger can hold up to four M18 batteries at a time, or one M18 and one M12 battery per side.
Mounting Options
Milwaukee gives you a few options for mounting this charging bank. First, there is a set of powerful magnets on the back that allow you to quickly mount it to a ferrous metal surface, like you find on gangboxes. They also equipped this charger with two quick-release levers on the underside, making it effortless to release the magnetic bond.
Second, there is a set of keyholes molded into the back for wall mounting. Lastly, there’s a plastic U-shaped lip running the length of the charger so you can hang it on the inside of a gangbox or storage cabinet.
In addition to these options, Milwaukee offers a set of metal mounting brackets (49-16-1804) specifically designed to mount on the front shelf of a piano-style Crescent Jobox.
Flood Light
One of the most unique features of this charger is the integrated 450 lumen flood light. The light panel pivots approximately 180 degrees and swivels 360 degrees, allowing you to easily illuminate a dark toolbox.
Additional Features
- 25-inch power cord
- Compatible with all M12 and M18 batteries
Milwaukee Gangbox Rapid Charger Price
The Milwaukee Gangbox charger retails for $329 as a bare tool and comes with a 5-year warranty.
Should You Buy It?
Overall, the Milwaukee Gangbox Rapid Charger delivers the convenience and versatility that busy Pros need on the job. With support for both M12 and M18 batteries, flexible mounting options, and even a built-in light for low-visibility environments, it’s a practical addition to any jobsite setup.
The real benefit here is the dual-sided simultaneous charging and mounting that’s purpose-built for commercial jobsites. This is a major improvement over Milwaukee’s other six-bay rapid charger (48-59-1806), which will only charge one battery at a time and is more limited in its mounting options. For busy crews who need to keep the power flowing, the intelligent charging sequence and smart design make this one of the most efficient multi-port chargers Milwaukee has released yet.
