Sometimes, great ideas are small. Take Rockler’s newest product, the Magnetic Cord Keeper. This is a small magnetic device that holds your unplugged power tool cords off the ground, making them ready to grab and plug in when you’re ready. And it is small – just 1-1/2″ in diameter and only 7/8″ thick. It makes a lot of sense, and at just $7.99 for a 2-pack, it’s something I can see many people grabbing as a stocking stuffer this year (there seem to be tons of stocking stuffers at Rockler Woodworking, in fact).
Rockler Magnetic Cord Keeper Features
The new Rockler Magnetic Cord Keeper seems perfect for those who tend to move heavier tools around the shop or who frequently need to unplug tools when cleaning up. Since it’s a magnet, the Magnetic Cord Keeper will adhere to just about any tool, and it does a great job of keeping cords neatly organized and easily accessible when needed. It also eliminates a common hazard and helps prevent the possibility of accidentally ripping a stray power cord out of a benchtop tool when you trip over it.
The compact Rockler Magnetic Cord Keeper has a standard 5/16″ opening that will securely hold any standard power cord. The notch in the magnet’s opening is also perfect for grabbing round pens, pencils or drill chucks.
If you’d like to pick these up, they are available at Rockler Woodworking and Hardware stores, as well as at rockler.com.
