The new Hitachi DS18DGL 18 volt cordless drill/driver has hit the market. Now featuring the slide-style battery, Hitachi has improved run time with the ability to maximize the design using this style. The 1.3 amp hour slim pack helps keep the weight down while the 18 volts still delivers fade-free power. the batteries go through a full charge cycle in 35 minutes. It also features overload and over-discharge protection to ensure a longer life for the batteries. The keyless 1/2 inch chuck makes bit changes simple and quick.

There are two motor speeds; low speed will produce up to 450 RPM and high up to 1250. There are 22 + 1 clutch settings that help dial in the 400 inch-pounds of torque. The drill weighs in at just 3.7 pounds. Hitachi is really touting the improved ergonomics with this model. The addition of the slide-style battery has contributed to the balance and the LED illuminates dark work areas.


Included with purchase is the Hitachi DS18DGL 18 volt drill/driver, two 1.3 amp-hour Lithium-ion slim pack batteries, charger, double-sided Phillips bit, and carrying case. Even though the batteries are only 1.3 aH, the quick charge time and included second battery should keep you working throughout the day without having to wait for charging on most applications. so.. this is protool reviews… what about that above is a review? Its just the specs..

Lowes website states that this drill has a top speed of 0-1500.
