Fluke Insulated Hand Tools Deliver German Quality
The new Fluke insulated hand tools combine safety and comfort for electricians and techs that work in hazardous environments. Fluke Insulated Hand Tool Highlights
Most hand tools use rubber or plastic on the handles. That can be moderately helpful, but neither of those materials offers protection from electric shock or limits the possibility of arc faults from short circuits. That’s why insulated tools are better for the conscientious electrician and OSHA requires their use in specific scenarios.
Fluke insulated hand tools have a certification rating at 1000V AC and 1500V DC. This meets the requirement, but Fluke takes it a step farther and individually tests each tool at 10,000V. They pass all globally-recognized safety standards established by European regulatory agencies to ensure the greatest safety when working in potentially dangerous situations.
As an added bonus, that insulation actually doubles as an ergonomic cushion to keep these hand tools comfortable to use all day without the strain and fatigue you can get with other hand tools. It’s not a “they’re comfortable for an insulated driver” kind of thing. They’re genuinely comfortable to use and the screwdrivers have a handle design that can go toe-to-toe with anything else out there.

Screwdrivers
In this initial launch, there are 7 Fluke Insulated Screwdriver with Phillips, slotted, and square heads. In addition to their crazy-comfortable handle design, they feature shafts that slim down to reach and see better in tight quarters. They also mark the drive type on the butt of each handle, making it easier to grab the right one the first time.
Each screwdriver has a chromium/molybdenum/vanadium steel blend to use for the shaft. The steel blend combines with Fluke’s hardening process to create a screwdriver that resists wear better.

Pliers
4 pliers are available for the Fluke Insulated Hand Tools line and three come together in most of the kits. Only the pump pliers sit out on their own. What really stands out in their designs is the finger guard at the top of the handles. It’s an extra layer of security that your hand won’t slip up and contact the metal head while you’re working.
Like the screwdrivers, Fluke forges these pliers from a German chromium/molybdenum/vanadium steel blend.
