Amazon Prime Day is a special event for Amazon Prime subscribers to get HUGE savings across the entire retail website! 2025’s Prime Day event is the longest one Amazon has held yet, spanning four full days! From July 8th -11th, 2025, you can find Prime Day savings on all of your favorite Amazon-hosted brands in TONS of categories.
As a tool publication, we’re primarily focusing on deals on power tools, hand tools, and outdoor power equipment. However, with the sheer number of cool categories offering awesome savings, we’ll also dip into deals on electronics, household products, and more!
Not to mention, Prime Day also gives the opportunity for Lightning Deals, which we’ll highlight in individual deal posts while the event is going on. Be sure to check our homepage frequently during the week of Prime Day for the best chances to score limited-time savings!
With the event taking place next week, I wanted to highlight some of the tools and other categories you can expect to see deals on. While we don’t have any deals to share until Prime Day officially starts, there are categories we’ve seen in previous years for Prime Day that are likely to return. Once the event begins, we’ll start adding the best deals we see, so check back often!

Power Tool Deals
While not every brand has an official presence on Amazon, there are still quite a few large manufacturers who participate. In past Prime Day events, we found great deals on many popular brands like DeWalt, Craftsman, and Makita, who maintain dedicated storefronts on Amazon.
We’ve seen deals on power tools like drills, impact drivers, angle grinders, and even specialized construction tools. There have also been several combo kit deals, giving you the chance to bundle your tools and batteries to get even more value!

Hand Tools and Accessory Deals
Hand tools are another category we’ve seen a lot of deals in from past Prime Day events. This includes multi-tools, mechanics tools, screwdrivers, hammers, and just about anything else that doesn’t require a battery or cord!
As for accessories, the most common deals we’ve historically seen have been for tool batteries. You can find batteries for just about any tool platform with an official Amazon presence.
We only recommend officially branded batteries, never third-party “compatible-with” batteries. Not only can these after-market batteries harm your tool, but using them often voids your warranty. We’re hoping to find some great deals on legit-branded batteries for Prime Day like we have in past years!
Outdoor Power Equipment Deals
Lawn mowers, string trimmers, blowers… what can’t you get online nowadays? When it comes to outdoor power equipment, we’ve seen a number of great Amazon Prime Day deals over the last few years. Hopefully, the pattern keeps up for 2025 to bring you the best prices to upgrade your lawn care routine!
Household Deals
Household deals are huge on Amazon. In the past few years, we’ve seen some great deals on things like vacuum cleaners, kitchen gadgets, and more! If the trend keeps up, we should have several great household items on sale throughout the Prime Day event.
Electronic Deals
Another popular category for Amazon deals is electronics. During past Prime Day events, we saw sales on TVs, speakers, laptops, headphones, and much, much more! We’ll have to wait and see what Prime Day 2025 has in store for electronics deals, but if Amazon keeps with the same practice, there will be plenty to sort through.
How Long do Amazon Prime Day Sales Last?
This year, Amazon Prime Day spans over four full days, from July 8th through July 11th, 2025. However, not all deals will be available the entire duration. Amazon usually hosts lightning deals that are available for a limited time, or until supplies run out. On the other hand, there are also early bird deals that start before the event officially begins, giving you plenty of time to score before Prime Day’s 2025 launch.

Deal Alerts and Automation
To increase your chances of snagging great power tool deals on Amazon Prime Big Deal Days, consider automating the process. There are two effective ways to do this.
First, set up your mobile app to monitor upcoming deals and click “Watch This Deal” to receive alerts when they go live. This feature can mean the difference between scoring amazing deals or missing out!
Second, you can use Alexa to keep you informed about deals that interest you. Alexa can report daily deals, which we find incredibly helpful. A newer feature also allows Alexa to provide updates on any products you’re tracking in the app. This works with later-generation Echo Dot (5th gen) or Echo Show (3rd gen) devices equipped with Alexa. It can also monitor products for price drops on your cart or Wish List.
To activate this feature, open the Alexa app and navigate to More > Settings > Notifications, then select Amazon Shopping. Enable “Shopping Recommendations” to start receiving Deal Recommendations.
