Bosch Full Force Technology Pneumatic Nailers

Bosch moves into the area of pneumatics with the introduction of their Full Force Nailers. Theses nailers are a ground up fresh design that utilizes new Bosch technology that makes the tools 10% more powerful and 20% smaller. Along with the new nailers will come a line of matching air compressors.

Bosch Full Force Technology finish nailer

Bosch pneumatic nailers hit the market back in 2009. They began with the introduction of their line of Full Force Nailers. These nailers utilized new Bosch technology that made them 10% more powerful while reducing the size by 20%. Along with the new nail guns came a line of matching air compressors.

Bosch Full Force Technology Overview

The main development of these Bosch nailers had to with the way the internal piston gets reset after driving a nail. In every other brand of pneumatic nailer on the market, the main body is large and round because there are separate air chambers inside that are used to both drive the piston down and also send it back home after the nail is driven.

Bosch removed the second “return” chamber in their design which helped slim down the body of the gun. Instead, pulling the trigger actuated the piston and drove the nail home. Releasing the trigger allowed a smaller second blast of air to return the piston back home. This design actually gave these guns about 10% more driving power. Since they eliminated the return chamber, the tools end up around 20% smaller than the competition.

Bosch Pneumatic Nailers Lineup

The Bosch SN350-20F framing nailer (round head) and Bosch SN350-34C framing nailer (clip head) represent the framing nailers. These guns feature robust bodies that are designed to take job site brutality like knocking lumber into place before you nail it.

Bosch also planned a couple of wheelbarrow-style compressors (one gas and one electric). The rest of the lineup included a Bosch Coil Roofing Nailer, Bosch Brad Nailer, Narrow Crown Stapler, Bosch angled finish nailer, and a Bosch Straight Finish Nailer.

Final Thoughts on Bosch Pneumatic Nailers

Prices on Bosch Pneumatic Nailers tended towards the more expensive side. They compared favorably with some of the more high-quality pneumatic tools from companies such as Hitachi, Paslode, Bostitch, and Senco. Unfortunately, the Bosch line of pneumatic nailers now appears to be discontinued. Perhaps the company plans a reintroduction in the future. For now, we can report that we enjoyed using them while they lasted.
