Ryobi’s move into brushless tools is cause for celebration because they’re reaching into legit Pro-level performance specs and keeping an eye on value. For the new brushless impact driver, we’re looking at a 3-speed motor capable of producing 3200 RPM. But then there’s the torque. How does 2200 in-lbs sound?

In a $99 tool, that sounds like a cordless revolution. Ryobi runs with their Tri-Beam LEDs surrounding the chuck giving you a better view of what you’re working on as well.

At 3200 stroked per minute and a 1-1/8″ stroke length, this has cutting speed that can match up against Pro competition. Ryobi is looking to manage the issue of vibration in the recip saw class with a separated handle Anti-Vibe system.
