Craftsman Battery Trade-In: How it Works
On select dates through July 31st, 2026, you can bring a qualifying power tool battery (from any brand) to a participating Lowe’s or Ace Hardware store, and you’ll get a Craftsman V20 3Ah Advanced Battery + Charger Kit for free!
You’ll also receive a $50 coupon to go toward any V20 product, which is valid on the same day you trade in your battery.
The terms and conditions are slightly different between Lowe’s and Ace, so be sure to read the fine print! I’ll detail the important information for both stores below.
Lowe’s
For Lowe’s shoppers, this promotion is available in-store on select dates at participating Lowe’s stores. Be sure you know which locations are participating in this deal, as many states are limited to only a few locations and dates.
Lowe’s states that you cannot return or exchange the free battery/charger kit. Additionally, the promotion is limited to one person per household, while supplies last.

Ace Hardware
For Ace Hardware shoppers, the trade-in offer is limited to two dates: July 11th and July 18th, 2026, at participating Ace Hardware stores. Craftsman says that the $50 coupon is for same-day use and requires a minimum $50 purchase on current stock at Ace Hardware stores only.
Ace states that you cannot return or exchange the free battery/charger kit, and the promotion is limited to one person per household, while supplies last.
