EGO Adds an Automotive Pressure Washer to the 56V Power+ Catalog
In recent years, EGO has been steadily expanding its outdoor power equipment and lifestyle roster on the 56V Power+ platform. This includes a variety of cordless pressure washers to keep your outdoor spaces clean without worrying about cords or gas. The newest EGO pressure washer to join the lineup is the HPW1200, which is marketed for automotive cleaning applications.
While it has yet to be released at the time of writing, I’m comparing what we know about it so far against other EGO pressure washers to help you decide if it’s right for you when it hits shelves.

EGO Automotive Pressure Washer: Overview

The EGO High-Flow Automotive Pressure Washer is the third cordless pressure washer in the Power+ lineup so far. It reaches pressure levels of up to 1200 PSI, but the most notable spec with this model is its 2.0 GPM flow rate. This is higher than we’ve seen from EGO pressure washers so far, with both the 2100 PSI and 3200 PSI models topping out at 1.2 GPM in normal washing mode.
The higher flow rate makes quicker work of washing away dirt, grime, and soap from your cleaning surface. While it’s marketed as an automotive pressure washer, it’s also sufficient for other light to medium-duty outdoor cleaning tasks, like patio furniture, walkways, home facades, and more.
There are three power modes to choose from— ECO, High, and Turbo. Here’s a breakdown of EGO’s spec estimates in each mode:
- Turbo: 1200 PSI, 2.0 GPM
- High: 900 PSI, 1.6 GPM
- ECO: 600 PSI, 1.2 GPM
I reached out to EGO for runtime estimates, and they confirmed that this pressure washer delivers up to 15 minutes in Turbo, 25 minutes in High, and tops out at 35 minutes in ECO using a 6.0Ah battery.
In form factor, it seems to be very similar to EGO’s previous iteration, the 2100 PSI compact HPW2105. However, one of the big differences is hose length. The new automotive pressure washer has a 40-foot flexible, steel-braided, non-kink high-pressure hose, compared to the 25-ft hose seen in the compact model. The longer hose is meant to help you navigate around your vehicle without needing to stop to reposition the pressure washer.
Like many pressure washers, you also get a variety of nozzles to help you with different cleaning tasks. The HPW1200 includes a 15° nozzle, 25° nozzle, 40° nozzle, and 60° nozzle. You also get a 1/4-inch short pressure washer gun, a foam cannon, and an extension handle.
Like the rest of EGO’s pressure washer roster, a siphon hose is also included for siphoning water from any fresh-water source, like a bucket, pool, or lake. If you’re into mobile detailing services, you’ll be able to draw directly from your tank.
EGO Automotive Pressure Washer Price
I reached out to EGO, which confirmed that this pressure washer will retail for $399.99 for the kit, including a 6.0Ah battery and charger. EGO hasn’t published a bare tool price yet at the time of writing. Like other EGO equipment, this model will also carry a 5-year warranty.
Should You Buy It?
While there’s still some time before the EGO HPW1200 becomes available, on paper, it has some real benefits—especially for vehicle-cleaning purposes. It has the highest flow rate of any of EGO’s pressure washers so far in Turbo mode, making it useful for quickly washing away soap and grime from surfaces. The longer hose length is also a plus for added walking room and less movement restriction.
This is EGO’s most budget-friendly pressure washer to date, but the price also correlates to its relatively lower pressure rating, which isn’t quite as effective at lifting stuck-on grime from some surfaces. If your needs are in the light to medium-duty range, this model should check most of the boxes for you. However, if you have room in the budget, you can always step it up to EGO’s mid-range or highest-performing model for the top-level cleaning power the brand currently offers.
