Klein Rechargeable Personal Jobsite Fan Review PJSFM1

Klein Rechargeable Personal Fan

Klein Personal Fan is Compact, Convenient, and Mounts Anywhere

It never hurts to have another fan around the shop or jobsite. With its relatively small frame and convenience factor, the Klein Rechargeable Personal Fan (PJSFM1) makes a strong case for being the next addition to your personal cooling lineup.

Cool and Convenient

As far as we see it, at least three things work for Klein’s Rechargeable Personal Fan. It’s small, it’s rechargeable, and you can clamp or stick it to a lot of different surfaces.

Let’s start with the size. With a cage diameter of just over 7 inches and a weight of right around 2 lbs, the Klein PJSFM1 is highly portable. And at just 10-1/2″ tall, you can clamp or stick this thing nearly anywhere.

While small fans aren’t that hard to come by, not many include rechargeable internal batteries. This comes as a pretty sweet feature that makes the Klein PJSFM1 that much more appealing. It keeps you from having to horse around trying to find an outlet to plug into while on the job.

Klein PJSFM1 Gives You Two Speeds

The Klein Rechargeable Personal Fan gives you two different speed settings. Neither of them will blow you away (pun intended) with a jet stream of air. Just keep the fan parked pretty close by, and you won’t need gale-force winds to cool you down.

In the High setting, the fan gives you an impressive 5 hours of runtime. Set it in Low speed, and you can extend that runtime out to around 9 hours. We saw similar numbers in the shop when we tested it.

An LED panel on the back also lets you know your charge level. When it’s time to recharge, you just plug the included USB cable.

Finally, the Klein Rechargeable Personal Fan has the appropriate equipment to mount just about anywhere. Its base acts as a clamp for gripping down on table edges, studs, or conduit. The clamp has some strength to it, so you don’t have to worry too much about the inadvertent bump.

The flat base also lets you simply stand it upright on a table or bench. It also houses two strong rare earth magnets, so you can mount it vertically on any metal surface.

If you do happen to knock it over, the housing is made from a high-impact polypropylene. It even has some protection against water and dust with an IP54 rating.

Both the mounting base and the cage can rotate a full 360°, so you can always find the perfect angle for your airflow.

Pricing

You can pick up the Klein Rechargeable Personal Fan for right around $60. Sure, there are cheaper options out there, but they likely won’t have the wealth of mounting options available or have the convenience of rechargeable battery power.

Like all of Klein’s battery-powered tools, this one comes with a 1-year warranty. It also includes a USB charging cable.

Recommendation

The Klein Rechargeable Personal Fan is a good option to have around, particularly if you need a small fan close by. It’s not going to move around massive amounts of air. Point it at your workspace, however, and it does pretty well. It also gives you a variety of mounting options, and with its cordless functionality and size, you can take it pretty much anywhere.
