Klein Updates Its Rechargeable Thermal Imager Lineup With Larger Model

This thermal imager lets you detect hot and cold spots to diagnose HVAC, plumbing, or electrical problems. Klein improved the performance of this model while increasing its size. The TI290’s display has a total of 49,000 pixels, compared to the 10,800 pixels in Klein’s last rechargeable iteration.

Additionally, you can set the imager to locate high and low temperature points, or even pinpoint specific temperatures ranging from -4°F to 752°F. If you want to be notified if an area reaches a certain temperature, you also have the option to set temperature alarms.

The internal memory stores up to 10,000 images, and you can share them using the built-in Wi-Fi capabilities.

This thermal imager features a 3.5-inch display, which is over an inch larger than the 2.4-inch screen on Klein’s last model. The brand also updates the method of charging, opting for the more modern USB-C charging port versus the previous iteration’s micro-USB port.

You can choose from three color palettes for your temperature display: ironbow, rainbow, and greyscale. On top of that, the TI290 thermal imager holds a 6.6-foot (2-meter) drop protection.
