In terms of power and durability, the 310-120 is the fleet’s light-duty grinder, but don’t let that fool you. This thing has a lot going for it.
For example, as its name implies, Oregon made this chainsaw sharpener compact, yet versatile. Specifically, it features a universal design that allows it to sharpen chains up to .404-inch pitch, making it a great option for most home workshops.

However, the 310-120 doesn’t have a clamping system. Instead, you’ll have to use two bolts to install and remove it. Now, that’s not unusual for benchtop grinders. Nonetheless, this compact chainsaw sharpener will have a leg up on the competition if Oregon goes with a clamp design in future iterations.
I also think you’ll appreciate that this tool is comparatively easy to use. The operator simply places the chain in the guide and clamps it in place. Then, you adjust the base to the correct angle and the cut to the right depth, and you’re off to the races.
