Professional Tool Reviews for Pros

Ridgid NXT 1625 CFM Air Mover

Ridgid Air Mover

Ridgid NXT Wet/Dry Vac Line Adds Air Mover for Quick Drying

Ridgid (Emerson) has added an Air Mower to the NXT line which also incorporates wet/dry vacs. The Ridgid NXT Air Mover boasts a lot of power and CFM—more than double what you find in residential models. That, coupled with its ability to daisy chain to other Air Mover units, makes it an ideal solution for quickly drying large areas. We see this as perfect for both industrial and commercial settings.

What Features Can We Expect?

The Ridgid NXT Air Mover features a 3-speed induction motor that provides 1,625 CFM to quickly dry out large areas. An angle adjustment lets you direct the airflow where you need it. This should minimize your downtime, letting you and your crew can get back to work quickly.

Apart from the power of the motor, perhaps the most helpful feature on the Air Mover is the dual electrical outlets included in the build. This lets you daisy chain multiple air movers together for better coverage and quicker dry times. Additionally, you can power other corded tools, saving you outlet space at the wall.

The Ridgid NXT Air Mover features a 25-foot power cord, extending your reach and letting you put the blower exactly where you need it most.

At 29 lbs., the Ridgid NXT Air Mover should be easy to move around. In fact, it has integrated wheels and a telescoping handle to make it even more maneuverable. When not actively being used, these fans stack on top of each other, streamlining your storage and utility closets.

Ridgid on the NXT Air Mover

Waiting for wet surfaces at a job site to dry can quickly add up to significant downtime. With the new Ridgid Air Mover, drying large areas is simplified. With its multiple speeds, longer cord, and dual outlets, it’s purpose-built with the Pro in mind and a great addition to the RIDGID NXT wet/dry vac line.

Final Thoughts

We notice that the Ridgid AM2288RT Air Mover from Emerson looks a lot like the $199 orange Ridgid AM2560 Air Mover (licensed by a different company). With the exception of the color, 5 ft. shorter power cord, and the two electrical outlets on the Emerson model, there are few visual differences between the two.

In any case, the specs look pretty much identical, and we wonder if this is “Red Ridgid” applying a new paint job to the older “Orange Ridgid” model. Undoubtedly, the dual outlets will prove useful for Pros, and does present the Emerson version as an upgrade.

The Emerson Ridgid NXT Air Mover retails for $279, and it comes with a Full Lifetime Warranty.
