Ridgid tells us that, even with its lightweight design, the RP 342-XL packs major power. This versatile press tool tackles the widest range of applications of any press tool on the market we’re aware of. With it, you can press 1/2″ to 4″ copper, stainless steel, and even tough carbon steel pipes. But, you can also use it on 1/2″ to 2″ PEX pipe.

Regardless of what material you press, the cycle time is reasonable. Ridgid claims any compatible size material or press in just under 12 seconds. On the website, it states a 4-second standard cycle time and a 9-second extended cycle.

It features QuickSwitch technology to quickly switch from Standard to Extended 32KN applications, letting you press 2-1/2″ to 4″ carbon steel.
