Ryobi 18V One+ HP Brushless Jobsite Hand Vacuum Review PBLHV701K

Ryobi Jobsite Hand Vacuum

Keep Your Work Space Clean With The Ryobi Jobsite Hand Vacuum

Over the last few years, Ryobi has released several vacuums that perform exceptionally well in the home and on the job, too! For big messes, most folks are likely to break out a full-sized shop vac, but these vacuums can be a little cumbersome when you’re dealing with small messes. Today, we’re looking at the Ryobi 18V Jobsite Hand Vacuum that helps bridge the gap between a traditional shop vac and your household stick vac.

Ryobi Jobsite Hand Vacuum Performance

Ryobi Jobsite Hand Vacuum
  • Vacuum Capacity: 0.21 gal.
  • Peak Air Volume: 23 CFM
  • Noise Level: 63 dBa (low), 75 dBa (high)

This 18V hand vacuum has a similar look and feel to the old-school dusbusters of yesteryear but with a few key differences. Using a single 18V battery, this trigger-activated jobsite vac boasts 23 CFM and a 0.21-gallon capacity canister. Ryobi’s 3-in-1 design is great for handheld applications, stick vac cleaning, and stationary cleaning with the included accessories.

It confidently lifts sand, fine drywall dust, small wood shavings, and other minor debris. While a full-sized shop vac is still our first choice for big messes, Ryobi’s hand vacuum allows you to remove light dust and debris faster than using a broom and dustpan.

Ryobi Jobsite Hand Vacuum

As we mentioned earlier, the Ryobi PBLHV701 is more than just a hand vac. Ryobi includes a small crevice nozzle, a flexible hose, an extension wand, and a wide rolling floor nozzle. These accessories let you tackle everything from cleaning between your car seats to collecting sawdust from your shop floor. If you are using the floor nozzle, we found it works best on hard surfaces since it doesn’t have a roller brush.

Personally, I really like Ryobi’s collection canister design because of its simplicity. When the 0.21-gallon container is full, twist off the black plastic lid and dump the contents. The debris screen and filter are also very easy to remove and clean. A short counterclockwise turn and they come free.

Ryobi Jobsite Hand Vacuum Price

The Ryobi Jobsite Hand Vacuum retails for $119 as a bare tool and as a kit for $179. The kit includes a crevice nozzle, a flexible 5×1-1/4 inch hose, an extension wand, a floor nozzle, a charger, and a 4.0Ah High-Performance battery. Ryobi backs the vacuum and battery with a 3-year warranty.

The Bottom Line

The Ryobi 18V Jobsite Hand Vacuum has earned a permanent spot in our tool collection here at PTR. It’s definitely more than just a glorified dustbuster. It has more than enough suction power and capacity to handle our daily cleanup needs without turning to our Ryobi 40V 10-Gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum. For us, the only thing missing from this vacuum is the ability to handle wet applications, but maybe we’ll see that with the next generation. Regardless, the Ryobi PBLHV701 is incredibly convenient and has the power I need to make cleanup quick and easy.
