Stihl KMA 130 R KombiSystem Adds a Battery Powerhead

Whether you’re a Pro or maintaining your own property, the Stihl KombiSystem now has the KMA 130 R KombiMotor to give you all the benefits of the system without the need for gas.

What’s the Big Deal?

The big deal is that the Stihl KombiSystem now has a battery-powered powerhead. The KMA 130 R Stihl KobiMotor is compatible with all AP Series 36V battery options. For homeowners, a few individual batteries might be your best bet. For Pros, a backpack battery is the best way to go if you have more than just a couple of noise/emission-sensitive clients.

As far as attachments go, the Stihl KombiMotor is compatible with the entire suite of KombiSystem attachments. Looking at the blower specs, it looks like there’s a bit less power in this system than the Professional gas powerheads, but that’s not really a surprise.

Stihl KombiSystem Blower Specs

  • Stihl KombiMotor KMA 130 R: 130 MPH/480 CFM
  • KM 56 RC-E: 139 MPH/533 CFM
  • KM 90 R: 141 MPH/536 CFM
  • Stihl KM 110 R: 145 MPH/556 CFM

Chances are you’re not looking at a battery system because it outperforms gas, but because it doesn’t use gas. All of the noise, emission, and maintenance benefits are here, so feel free to maintain your lawn at 6:00 AM on Saturday morning. Combined with an iMow, you can have your yard work done and still make the 7:30 group ride at your local bike shop.

MSRP on the Stihl KMA 130 R is $349.99 for just the powerhead. Batteries, chargers, and attachments are all separate. As usual, check with your local Stihl dealer (or Ace Hardware) to get a walkthrough with the product and more details.
