Ridgid has had some good professional and consumer response to their SeeSnake microDrain and microReel Inspection Systems. Now the company has announced a new addition to their product line in the form of a 65′ microDrain w/sonde. Inspired by the feedback from professional tool users (pool service, plumbers, chimney inspection, etc.) to lengthen the microDrain, the company developed the D65S.
The new microDrain Inspection System represents a huge leap forward in small diameter drain inspection technology paired with a focus on durability and ergonomics. The microDrain System allows pros to quickly inspect places previously unreachable. The microDrain System is optimized for tight turns while the microReel System allows longer inspections up to 100′ due to its more rigid push cable.
To eliminate duplication in the product line, Ridgid will be discontinuing the 30′ microDrain with sonde (microDrain D30S). They will continue to offer the 30′ microDrain without sonde, however.

- Small Diameter and Tight Turn Radius camera head gets you through many toilet traps and 11/4″ lines. Available in 30 and 65 feet.
- Multiple Monitor Compatibility allows you to use the microDrain reel with your SeeSnake monitor or the microEXPLORER Digital Inspection Camera.
- Lightweight and Compact unit allows you to easily stow and carry the camera in your truck and onto the job site providing solutions whenever and wherever you need them.
- Interchangeable Drums let you change out the inner drum depending on the application. Choose from:
- L100 – 11/2 to 4 inch lines with a stiffer push cable allowing you to inspect lines up to 100 feet.
- D30 and D65S – Small diameter with tight turns, 11/2″ to 3″ P-Traps, toilet traps for lines up to 30 feet.
