Husky Weather-Resistant Leather Glove Review

Husky Weather-Resistant Leather Glove

Looking for a relatively inexpensive pair of leather work gloves that resist various wet weather conditions? Look no further than one of Home Depot’s newest releases, the Husky Weather-Resistant Leather Glove. It might be devoid of any major bells and whistles, but for your run-of-the-mill work glove needs, these ought to fit the bill. After all, gloves are consumable items for most crews.

It seems like Husky aims for an increase in comfort with this release. Husky makes these gloves from supple, premium grain cowhide leather. Shirred elastic wrists offer flexibility and comfort. It also has a keystone thumb for greater durability and, you guessed it, comfort. They come in a variety of sizes, and retail for just under $15.

If the Glove Fits…

The Husky Weather-Resistant Leather Glove feels pretty good to slip on. The leather doesn’t feel like it’s completely broken in yet, but the gloves still come in pretty soft and flexible.

Husky uses a keystone thumb for the design. As opposed to the wing thumb and the straight thumb designs, the keystone thumb is stitched into the palm. As a result, the glove gives you better ergonomics than other designs.

The Husky Weather-Resistant Work Glove also features a shirred elastic wrist. Basically, what this means is that the stitching in the wrist of the glove gathers the fabric around your wrist for a secure, but flexible, fit.Husky Weather-Resistant Leather Glove

Parting Thoughts

Like I said, if you’re looking for a pretty standard pair of work gloves at a competitive price, the Husky Weather-Resistant Leather Glove is a good direction to go. However, you might need to keep your expectations in check. These gloves aren’t insulated, and they don’t offer any cut or impact protection beyond what you could reasonably expect from any other leather item. It’s also fair to say that, while these gloves will keep some moisture away from your hands, they aren’t waterproof gloves, and they definitely won’t wick any internal moisture away. Still, we’re talking about $15 gloves here. If you’re looking for all those other features, you’re also looking at a higher price point.
