KLEIN IR2000A 12:1 DUAL LASER INFRARED THERMOMETER DELIVERS GREATER ACCURACY AND DURABILITY

I remember the first time I saw an infrared thermometer… the AC guy stuck this instrument up towards the air vent in my home. While I expected to wait for a few minutes to get a temperature reading the old fashioned way, he quickly announced the temperature and went to diagnosing the problem. I love IR and lasers! The new Klein IR2000A 12:1 Dual Laser Infrared Thermometer is taking the technology I was so enamored by up about several levels of awesome!

For starters, the Klein IR2000A features a two laser system. Now the lasers themselves aren’t reading the temperatures; the IR sensors do that. The lasers mark the edges of the circle in which the temperature is being read. No more guessing at the radius around a single laser point.

The IR Thermometer is also built for additional durability on the jobsite. Product managers and engineers ensured that the Klein IR2000A could survive a 2 meter (6.6 feet) drop to the ground.

Sean O’Flaherty, senior product manager at Klein Tools tells us that “Usability and durability are of paramount importance to our customers. To address these needs, the IR2000A has been developed to include dual lasers to provide a more confident measurement area along with a best-in-class two meter drop protection designed to survive the rigors of the job.”

One of the additional features that I am particularly fond of is the ability to calculate minimum, maximum, average, and differential on the display. There is also an built in work light. The display is backlit. Fahrenheit and Celsius readings are changed by pressing a single button instead of digging through a list of settings. The Klein IR2000A comes with CE and RoHS certifications.
