Husqvarna 450 Chainsaw Video Review

Husqvarna 450 Chainsaw Video Review

Pro Quality Meets All-Rounder Versatility in the Husqvarna 450 Chainsaw

Husqvarna’s 450 Chainsaw sits near the top of the company’s mid-length saws for landowners category, just below the Rancher series (there is also a 450 Rancher model). We had some trail clearing to do following a series of storms and brought the 450 along for the job.

  • Fuel-efficient X-Torq engine
  • Excellent power for this class
  • Very low vibration
  • Inertia-activated chain brake
  • Air-injected cleaning system removes dust and debris before reaching the filter

  • No major drawbacks

The 450 is a mid-length Pro-level chainsaw for tree service crews and foresters. It’s also a great all-rounder for property owners who need a powerful saw for general maintenance and storm clean-up.

Ryobi 4 Cycle Trimmer RY34440 Review

Ryobi’s RY34440 4-cycle string trimmer promises, among other things, quieter operation and greater fuel efficiency. It’s a “green” product (in more ways than one) that delivers less fuss when fueling since you don’t need to pre-mix your oil and gas. It also works with Ryobi’s Expand-it line of attachments – which are even backwards compatible with products I bought over 10 years ago. The 4-cycle trimmer comes with just the string trimmer attachment, but does include both a bump head and a pro-style head that facilitates easy string replacement and will handle larger diameter string (and more efficiently to boot).

Can testify to its toughness! Living in SW Louisiana, Hurricanes Laura and Delta did a number on us. We’ve got an unknown amount of fence line to clear. Could be miles. The woods here will never be the same in our lifetime. So naturally, a lot of us are buying chainsaws. I picked up a Husqvarna 450e because the Rancher I think right above it was like another 3-4 lbs! Either-way, as amateur chainsaw users, we’ve been running the hell out of it. Sharpening the blade, filling it up and running it hard. We stick it, almost broke it several… Read more »
