Rockler Woodworking and Hardware has announced the addition of the Rockler Bench Dog Soundshield Safety Glasses to their selection of safety equipment. The glasses combine protective eye lenses with specially designed earplugs that are tethered to the frame by cords. This keeps your eye and ear protection in one unit.
Rockler Bench Dog Soundshield Safety Glasses feature clear plastic, anti-fog lenses, which provide appropriate eye protection while maintaining clear visibility of the work being performed. The protective lenses carry a high-impact safety rating and are hard-coated to resist scratches.
The Bench Dog Soundshield Safety Glasses are also equipped with integrated earplug storage on the frames – just pull the tethers to release them. The earplugs are stored in a compartments in the earpieces of the frames when not in use and are replaceable. The earplugs carry a noise reduction rating (NRR) of 25 decibels.
In addition, the Bench Dog Sound Shield Safety Glasses are also available in a “fit over” design to be worn over eyeglasses. Both Bench Dog Soundshield Safety Glasses Standard Style (54801) and Fit Over Glasses Style (52821) include a microfiber pouch for storing and protection of the glasses when not in use.
