Ryobi’s 4V USB Lithium batteries are already easy to keep topped up thanks to their onboard USB-C charging capabilities. However, the Ryobi USB Lithium 3-port Charger/Power Source brings even more refueling convenience, with a 2-in-1 design that charges your 4V batteries and powers your devices on the go. I’ll compare this power source/charger to other USB Lithium solutions to help you decide the right fit for your charging needs.
Ryobi USB Lithium Power Source Overview

- Model: Ryobi FVCH03
- USB-C charging port
- 3 battery slots
- Consecutively charge up to 3 USB Lithium batteries
- Charge rate: 2A
- LED battery indicators
The Ryobi FVCH03 is a 2-in-1 charger/power source compatible with USB Lithium 4V batteries. It charges up to three 4V batteries consecutively via the included 2A USB-C charging cord. Ryobi estimates up to 80% faster charging with the FVCH03 than with a standard USB-C-to-battery connection.
Once you’re done charging your batteries, you can flip the script and use it to charge devices like phones, tablets, and smartwatches using the onboard USB-C port.
Each 4V battery slot has its own LED battery level indicator to let you keep an eye on your charge levels at a glance.

Additional Features
- Belt-Clip Compatible: Attach a belt clip (sold separately) to store on your belt.
- Caribiner: Hands-free attachment to bags or straps.
How Does it Compare?
This is Ryobi’s second-iteration 3-port charger for USB Lithium 4V batteries. However, the previous model did not have a power source function—it’s a dedicated charger only. Nonetheless, I wanted to compare each model so that you can weigh the major details against one another.

Ryobi USB Lithium Power Source Price
This power source retails for $49.97, and you can find it at The Home Depot. Note that it doesn’t include any USB Lithium batteries, so be sure to pick up a few if you’re not already on that platform. Ryobi backs your purchase with a 2-year warranty.
Should You Buy It?
This charger/power source is a great accessory to have on hand for those already on Ryobi’s USB Lithium platform. Its 2-in-1 design can keep your 4V batteries topped up, as well as charge your devices on the go.
As Ryobi’s second go at consecutive 4V battery charging, the design team made the FVCH03 much more travel-friendly. Its compact design fits easily in your pocket or attaches to your bag or belt. It runs around $20 more than the first-iteration FVCH01 3-port charger, but I think the design upgrades and added power source function make the price increase well worth it. Plus, at a price point of under $50, it’s still easy on the wallet for those sticking to a budget.
