EGO Adds New Multi-Head Options to Tackle Your Lawn With One System
Several cordless outdoor power equipment brands offer attachment-capable systems. Their swappable design saves both space and money for those using one battery platform for all of their lawn care. EGO’s version is the Multi-Head system, which is home to a number of individual attachments for a variety of lawn care tasks. Now, the system is growing with the addition of three carbon fiber attachments. I’ll walk you through each of the new EGO Multi-Head attachments to help you decide if they’re worth adding to your landscaping lineup.
EGO Multi-Head 9-inch Carbon Fiber Roto Cut Reciprocator Attachment
The EGO RTA2320 reciprocator attachment features dual 9-inch high-strength alloy steel blades. The blades fully rotate in opposite directions for a more even blade wear and a longer blade life. EGO uses a design that prevents disassembling and repositioning the blades to expose a sharp edge, like traditional reciprocators.
A 1.3-inch cutting capacity gives you controlled, clean cuts through most types of grass, weeds, and vegetation. It’s ideal for trimming thick ground cover and achieving precise edges along fences, curbs, and street/yard boundaries. On the design side, this attachment features an IPX4 ingress rating for weather resistance. A carbon fiber shaft also keeps the weight to a minimum and reduces vibration levels while being more durable than standard metal construction.
This attachment is compatible with both of EGO’s Multi-Head power heads (PH1420 and PH1400). However, to get the most out of its carbon-fiber shaft, pair this attachment with the PH1420 carbon-fiber power head.

EGO Multi-Head Carbon Fiber Cultivator Attachment
EGO’s second-iteration cultivator for the Multi-Head system, the CTA9520 features a carbon fiber shaft for a durable, lightweight design. It has an adjustable tilling width from 8 to 9.5 inches, letting you till between shrubs, trees, and other plants. A large debris guard also shields you and your surroundings from flying dirt, soil, and debris as you work.
Like the rest of the attachments in the system, you can connect the CTA9520 to either of EGO’s existing power heads (PH1420 and PH1400). For the lightest, most durable experience, pair it with the carbon fiber PH1420.

EGO Carbon Fiber Bed Redefiner Attachment
Like the other two new EGO attachments, and the rest of the lineup, the BRA0820 bed redefiner attachment is compatible with either of EGO’s Multi-Head power heads. This tool uses an 8-inch bed edger blade with a maximum 2.4-inch cutting depth to quickly reestablish and shape the edges of your mulch and flower beds. An adjustable guide wheel also lets you set your desired cutting depth.
A debris shield directs dirt, mulch, and other lawn debris away from your cutting line as you work. For additional precision, there’s also a line-of-sight indicator to keep your lines exactly where you need them.
This is the first bed redefiner on EGO’s Multi-Head system. Like the other two new attachments, it features a carbon fiber shaft for extra durability and lighter weight than standard metal attachments. It also holds an IPX4 ingress rating for weather resistance and easy cleaning.
