Bosch Breaks Into the Electrical Field With New Testing Lineup

Bosch has long been one of the biggest names in the power tool industry, offering a variety of solutions on its 12V, 18V, and corded lineups. Recently, the brand has branched out a bit from its core with a new roster of 18V outdoor power equipment for homeowners. Now Bosch reaches into a more specialized category with a range of electrical testers for electricians, plumbers, and HVAC professionals.

I’ll go over what we know about these tools as they gear up to fully launch later in 2026.

Bosch Electrical Testers – What’s New?

There are a total of six new Bosch electrical tools coming to the market this year. Below, I’ll go over each of the new additions, including their design, applications, and price.

Bosch GVD1000-15 Non-Contact Voltage Tester

The GVD1000-15 lets you quickly detect AC voltage without direct contact on outlets or switches. It meets certified CAT IV 1000V safety standards, and a self-test feature tests up to 1000V continuously before and during operation to monitor functionality.

On the design side, Bosch equipped it wth TPE-reinforced housing for added durability. It also features both audio and visual indicators for clear readings when voltage is detected. Finally, you can keep it close at hand with the included belt clip.

Price: $35

Bosch GVD1000-17 Non-Contact Voltage Tester (With Flashlight)

The Bosch GVD1000-17 has a lot of similarities to the voltage tester listed above, but with some added features that expand its usability. Like that model, this voltage tester tests up to 1000V with a continuous self-test feature that checks functionality before and during operation. However, the GVD1000-17 features a dual-voltage range that provides increased sensitivity in low-voltage applications.

The most obvious design difference is that Bosch outfitted it with an integrated flashlight for added visibility in dimly lit work areas. However, there are more differences between the two models than meets the eye. You also get a 6-foot drop protection and an IP67 rating for water resistance. Plus, Bosch equipped it with three voltage indicators, adding a vibration function along with the audio and visual cues seen in the GVD1000-15.

This voltage detector is also only $10 more than the GVD1000-15, which is a great value for Pros who want the most bang for their buck.

Price: $45

Bosch GMC600-15 Clamp Meter

The Bosch GMC600-15 clamp meter is designed for measuring electrical current without interrupting the circuit, using a hinged current-sensing jaw with a 1.18-inch opening for larger conductors. It measures up to 600A AC current and supports voltage measurements up to 600V AC/DC through the clamp or the included MS90 silicone test leads, while True RMS technology provides accurate readings across a variety of electrical applications

Built with a robust design, the GMC600-15 features an IP54-rated, rubber-reinforced housing for protection against dust, water, and jobsite impacts.

This clamp meter operates on either the included AA batteries or an optional 3.7V lithium-ion battery (sold separately). When the battery compartment is open, power cut-off protection prevents operation to reduce the risk of accidental activation.

Price: $160

Note: This clamp meter comes with a pair of MS90 test leads, but if you’d like an extra pair, you can also purchase them separately for $34.99.

Bosch GFM1000-15 Fork Meter

The Bosch GFM1000-15 fork meter is designed for fast electrical diagnostics, particularly in confined spaces and crowded panels where its open-jaw design can provide easier conductor access than a traditional clamp meter. The meter measures up to 200A AC current and supports voltage measurements up to 1000V AC/DC. It also functions as a non-contact voltage tester, adding versatility for troubleshooting and verification tasks.

Like the GMC600-15 clamp meter, it features True RMS technology for accurate measurements, a clear LCD display for easy reading, and compatibility with either the included silicone test leads or direct conductor measurement. It also meets CATIV 600V and CAT III 1000V safety standards, carries an IP54 ingress rating for dust and water resistance, and can operate on either AA batteries or an optional 3.7V lithium-ion battery (sold separately)

Price: $185

Bosch GVT600-13 Contact Voltage Tester

The Bosch GVT600-13 contact voltage tester is designed for testing outlets, switches, breaker panels, and other electrical systems, with AC/DC voltage measurement capability up to 600V. Auto-ranging simplifies operation across a range of voltages, while GFCI compatibility supports outlet testing applications. A high-contrast display provides clear measurement visibility, and an integrated flashlight helps illuminate dimly lit work areas.

On the design side, the GVT600-13 features an IP54-rated, rubber-reinforced housing for protection against dust, water, and jobsite conditions, as we see in the fork and clamp meters. It also meets CAT IV 600V safety standards and includes a pair of replaceable TL90 test leads for long-term serviceability.

Additionally, the GVT600-13 is compatible with a magnetic hanging accessory (sold separately) for convenient storage and hands-free positioning when working around electrical equipment.

Price: $60

Bosch GDM600-15 Digital Multimeter

The Bosch GDM600-15 digital multimeter is designed for a range of electrical testing applications, including voltage, current, resistance, and continuity measurements. Supporting voltage measurements up to 600V AC/DC, it also utilizes True RMS technology to provide accurate readings across installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks.

Engineered for demanding work environments, the GDM600-15 features an IP65-rated housing that helps protect against dust and water exposure. Its rubber-reinforced construction is designed to withstand drops of up to 6 feet, and the meter meets CAT III 600V safety standards.

Additional features include an integrated kickstand for hands-free operation and flexible power options using either the included AA batteries or an optional 3.7V lithium-ion battery (sold separately). Power cut-off protection also disables operation when the battery compartment is open, helping prevent accidental activation, as we see in the GMC600-15 clamp meter.

Price: $199
